A message from the Principal
Dear MES Families,
What a great week! Recently, we have begun to roll out a school wide positive behavior support program. We are building the program with student and staff input. Right now, the focus is on the large "free time" areas like the cafeteria, hallways and recess. We held convocations in grade 1-5 Friday and the kiddos were awesome! Kindergarten teachers presented the information directly to their classes. We have visuals all over the building as reminders to us all!
Please ask your child what they did well today!

We are thrilled to welcome our students back to the McCordsville Elementary Library this week! I'm Mrs. Nancy Price, your child’s school librarian, and together with Mrs. Erica Davis, our wonderful library assistant, we are excited to embark on another year of connecting students with the perfect books and leading engaging literacy lessons.
Our goal is to inspire a lifelong love of reading in our young Marauders. You can join us in this mission by asking your child about the books they bring home on library day—it's a great way to spark conversations about their interests and encourage their reading journey.
Here’s to another great year of reading and learning at McCordsville Elementary!

We're excited to remind you about the valuable partnership between Mt. Vernon Schools and Qustodio! This collaboration provides you with insights into your child's online activities and allows you to manage certain aspects of their school-issued devices at home.
For more details, please check out the recent ParentSquare post from this week.

Coming Soon! Pirate Fun Run! |
|
Mccordsville Elementary School Families!
We are excited to introduce this year's main fundraiser, the Pirate Fun Run. Our goal this year is to raise $25,000 for student programming, student supplies, student materials, teacher training, and teacher support overall to benefit ALL students at McCordsville Elementary School.
We are excited for this fundraising experience because it offers 3 important things to our school community: a user-friendly fundraising platform, a character enrichment program and a fitness-focused event that includes ALL of our students.
As a family, you will work together asking friends and family to donate on your student’s Donation Page at MyBooster.com. The best part is, you can still support our school just by SHARING about the fundraiser!
Students will also experience an amazing character enrichment program called “Castle Quest”, teaching students about how to be brave and live with character.

More Information will be coming soon----for now, all you need to do is save the date! I have linked last year's wrap-up video so you can see the fun that is coming our way!
