A message from the Principal

Dear MES Families,

Welcome back to a very wacky week! All students have done a wonderful job acclimating back to school. We appreciate your patience and understanding while keeping students and staff safe.
AM Car Rider drop off: When exiting the school, you may only head north (turn right) on 600W. This keeps traffic flowing and lessens the possible occurrence of an accident. Please follow the officer's traffic expectations.

The lost and found is already starting to fill up! If your child is missing anything, have them check the tables up front!

Have a great weekend! Stay warm!

News from the Library

It is the time of year when people set out to make positive changes.  Why not set a reading goal for yourself and your family?  Incorporating a quiet time into your schedule to model and read together with your children will help them become stronger readers. The Vernon Township Public Library is hosting a Winter Reading Program.  The information from their website is below.

Have some fun this winter reading!

All ages can participate in the winter reading program!

Read and complete activities to get a BINGO on your card! Earn a prize for each of your first 3 bingos. Earn a ticket into our grand prize drawings for any bingos after 3!

Registration Opens Monday, December 16th.

Sign up on Beanstack!

Report Cards

Report cards are now available in Skyward for Quarter 2. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher.

Reporting an Absence

If your student will be absent from school, please notify us by one of the following methods:

Call the school office at 317 336 7760
Email: vikki.foggin@mvcsc.k12.in.us

Due to legislation changes effective July 2024, MVCSC is required to modify our absence policy. Please see the attached flyer.

If your child is going to be absent for a trip etc., there is no need to fill out the pre-arranged excused absence form. Due to the new Indiana attendance laws the form no longer applies. The form will be removed from the website soon.
