Dear MES Families,
We have been so happy to go outside this week for recess! It will be muddy for the foreseeable future (and I'm sure it's going to get cold again!) and we try to keep the kiddos out of the mud and gaga pit, but brand new shoes may not be the best option!
For grade 2-3 students I-READ begins next week. We will be sending out an explanation of the assessment. Scores and reports will be shared once we have them after spring break.
Have a great weekend!
Stephanie
There’s magic in reading books aloud to little kids, especially when you do the voices (you’ve got to do the voices) and they giggle at the pictures and you talk about the characters as if they’re your BFFs. Once kids learn how to read on their own, this parent-child ritual often ends, but it shouldn’t. There are great Benefits of Reading Aloud, including increased vocabulary, ability to make connections and a love for reading. Here are some recent American Library Association Award winning books to read with your child.
