We have had a very exciting week at MES!
- The class of '2037 graduated kindergarten!
- 5th grade students played an epic game of basketball in the gym against teachers!
- 5th grade had their holdover (COVID 2020) Kindy 500!
- K had their Kindy 500!

Looking for a fun way to keep up on your student’s reading skills this summer? Vernon Township Library is hosting a summer reading program. Please follow the link here if you are interested in participating. Hancock Public Library is also providing a summer reading program which you can learn more about here. Have a great summer reading!
Remember to pay for lost or damaged books before the school year ends. Lost book fees can be paid via MVCSC’s eFunds link. Click on PAY for Optional Fees, then choose Lost/Damaged Library Books. Exact change and/or a check made out to McCordsville Elementary are also accepted. Thank you for your support in returning overdue books and paying library fines before the end of the school year.

Field day will be on Tuesday May 27, 2025. There will be the 3 following sessions:
Session 1 - Kindergarten & 1st Grade
8:00am - 9:50am
Session 2 - 4th & 5th Grade
10:00am - 11:45am
Session 3 - 2nd & 3rd Grade
12:25pm - 1:55pm
We still have a few spots left if you would like to help and volunteer at field day. Sign up here...

We are almost to the end of our school year. Please check that your child is not missing any items. Feel free to come and take a look at our lost and found. Everything will be donated after May 29th!

Drop Off & Pick Up Procedures
If you are bringing your child to school in the morning, please drop off your child at the front drop off area beginning at 7:20am.
Please enter school grounds via the back entrance on 700N. Pull all the way around and there will be staff to direct you to pull forward. They will also be there to assist your child out of the car. Parents should not get out of the car.
AM Only - When exiting the school, you may only head North (turn right) on 600W.
Please remember that you must come in to sign a student in and out of school if it is after 7:45am or before 2:15pm. They could be considered tardy if this procedure is not followed.
For pick up, the back gate opens at 1:30pm. Do not park on the grass or public roadway on 700N. We use a number system to make sure students are safe.
Please display car rider numbers during pick up.
Remain in line until you are at the end of the car rider line. Do not pull around cars.
Pull over at the end of the line if you need to buckle in your child.
Please try to let the office know of any dismissal changes no later than 1:30pm, unless there is an emergency.
Please follow all procedures.
