Dear MES Families,
We truly appreciate your partnerships as we experience growing pains with our car rider line! I cannot say we will never have hiccups, but we have made huge progress!
Labor Day is quickly approaching! There is no school on Monday, September 1, 2025.
Parent Teacher conferences will be held on September 17 from 11:00-6:30. Your child's teacher will send out a sign up (with instructions) via parentsquare next week. If you struggle to find a time, please reach out to the teacher and they will work with you to schedule something. Our goal is to meet every need on 9/17, but we understand things happen!

We’ve been having fun seeing familiar faces in the library and welcoming new friends! Right now we are focusing on how we behave in the library, the different sections of the library, and how we treat library books. You can help your student at home by asking them what books they checked out, and reminding them to bring them back to school on their library day. Reading aloud is also a great way to share in your child’s reading experience!
McCordsville Elementary School's Body Safety presentation is scheduled for September 8 and September 9. It's the beginning of the year and we already have items in our lost and found. If your child is missing anything, please ask them to check or feel free to come in and take a look.

If you are bringing your child to school in the morning, please drop off your child at the front drop off area beginning at 7:15 a.m.
Please enter school grounds via the back entrance on 700N. Pull all the way around and there will be staff to direct you to pull forward. They will also be there to assist your child out of the car. Parents should not get out of the car.
AM Only - When exiting the school, you may only head North (turn right) on 600W.
Please remember that you must come in to sign a student in and out of school if it is after 7:35 am or before 2:05 pm. They could be considered tardy if this procedure is not followed.
The back gate opens at 1:30 for pick-up. Do not park on the grass or anywhere on 700N. We use a cone/number system to make sure students are safe.
Please display car rider numbers during pick up.
Remain in line until you are at the end of the car rider line. Do not pull around cars.
Pull over at the end of the line if you need to buckle in your child.
Please try to let the office know of any dismissal changes no later than 1:30pm, unless there is an emergency.
Please follow all procedures.

REMINDER: Students are considered TARDY if they are not in their classroom at 7:35 a.m.
