A message from the Principal

Dear MES Families,

What a strange weather week! If you had any problems receiving alerts from parentsquare, please reach out to the front office for help. We appreciate all of your support!

Grades 3 and 4 are in the midst of ILEARN assessment. This is a state mandated test that has three checkpoints and one summative assessment later in the spring. Once we have reports we will send them to you.

Have a great weekend!

Stephanie

News from the Library

Looking for a good book to read with your child?  The American Library Association announced the winners of the Youth Media Awards earlier this week. These awards are given to the authors and illustrators of the top books, digital media, video and audio books for children and young adults – including the Caldecott, Coretta Scott King, Newbery and Sibert awards to name a few. Some of the winners and honor books include the following titles. Check them out!

Lost and Found

If your child is missing anything, please take a look through our lost and found. It continues to grow daily.

Snacks

Please remember to send your child in with a water and snack daily.

Thank you.

Reminder - Drop off and Pick up Procedures

If you are bringing your child to school in the morning, please drop off your child at the front drop off area beginning at 7:10 a.m.

Please enter school grounds via the back entrance on 700N. Pull all the way around and there will be staff to direct you to pull forward. They will also be there to assist your child out of the car. Parents should not get out of the car.

AM Only - When exiting the school, you may only head North (turn right) on 600W.

Please remember that you must come in to sign a student in and out of school if it is after 7:35 am or before 2:05 pm. They could be considered tardy if this procedure is not followed.

The back gate opens at 1:30 for pick-up. Do not park on the grass or anywhere on 700N. We use a cone/number system to make sure students are safe.

Please display car rider numbers during pick up.

Remain in line until you are at the end of the car rider line. Do not pull around cars.

Pull over at the end of the line if you need to buckle in your child.

Please try to let the office know of any dismissal changes no later than 1:30pm, unless there is an emergency.

 Please follow all procedures.

Thank you.

REMINDER:  Students are considered TARDY if they are not in their classroom at 7:35 a.m.
