Thank You for a Great Start!
Thank you, families, for helping us get the school year off to a great start! We appreciate your patience and cooperation as everyone gets back into the routine of arrival and dismissal. Thank you for getting students here safely and for following our arrival procedures.
A few important reminders for our student walkers from Hampton Walk:
- Students walking to school should use the crosswalk in front of the school and must be accompanied by an adult.
- Please follow all crosswalk signals and wait for the appropriate signal before crossing.
- At dismissal, adults picking up walkers should cross over and meet their student on the sidewalk on the far north side of the building. Students should not cross on their own to meet an adult.

I am thrilled to welcome our students back to the McCordsville Elementary Library this week! I'm Mrs. Nancy Price, your child’s school librarian. I look forward to another year of connecting students with the perfect books and leading literacy lessons.My goal is to inspire a lifelong love of reading in our young Marauders. You can join me in this mission by asking your child about the books they bring home on library day—it's a great way to spark conversations about their interests and encourage their reading journey.
On early release Wednesdays, the school day is shortened by 45 minutes for staff collaboration and professional development time. Our first early release Wednesday will be August 12 and we will dismiss at 1:20pm.
Buses will run their regular afternoon routes 45 minutes earlier on these days.

EFunds (MVCSC's Online Payment System): You may deposit funds into your child's lunch account through EFunds on their website. Use EFunds to conveniently pay for lunch, consumable fees, or other school fees.
Consumable fees - these fees cover materials students use during coursework, such as clay, paint, sheet music, science lab supplies, PLTW project materials, and other hands-on classroom resources, but do not include textbooks. These materials are used directly by students.
Log into your skyward account to view your student fees. The deadline to pay fees is September, 11 2026.

| Reminder - Drop off and Pick up Procedures |

If you are bringing your child to school in the morning, please drop off your child at the front drop off area beginning at 7:10 a.m.
Please enter school grounds via the back entrance on 700N (south side of the building). Pull all the way around and there will be staff to direct you to pull forward. They will also be there to assist your child out of the car. Parents should not get out of the car.
Children exit through the passenger side.
Please remember that you must come in to sign a student in and out of school if it is after 7:35 am or before 2:05 pm. They could be considered tardy if this procedure is not followed.
The back gate opens at 1:30 for pick-up. Do not park on the grass or anywhere on 700N. We use a cone/number system to make sure students are safe.
Please display car rider numbers during pick up.
Remain in line until you are at the end of the car rider line. Do not pull around cars.
Pull over at the end of the line if you need to buckle in your child.
Please try to let the office know of any dismissal changes no later than 1:30pm, unless there is an emergency.
Please follow all procedures.
